People are always asking me what powder I use, what highlighter I use, what eyeliner I use.. So I decided to make a “My Favorite Things” post about my favorite makeup items!
1. Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Powder
Color: 330 Toffee
I love this powder because it’s exactly my shade and it doesn’t get shiny throughout the day at all! It’s also not too heavy, but not too light. I choose to put it on with a brush rather than the included makeup sponge, but that’s just personal preference.
2. Wet n’ Wild MegaGlo Illuminating Palette
This palette is perfect, you can use the shiny cream + light pink to have a really dramatic highlight, you can use the light pink + dark pink to have a rosy blushed look, or you can use the dark pink + bronze to have a natural looking glow!
3. Maybelline Color Plush Eyeshadows
These colors go on so smoothly and they’re very multidimensional. The color stays, it doesn’t crease, and it blends VERY well. Every palette is amazing, you can’t go wrong.
4. Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Eyeliner
Color: Blackest Black
I’ve been using this eyeliner for about 8 years, and I don’t plan to stop any time soon. It glides on so easily, it isn’t a hard pencil or uncontrollable liquid – it’s gel! It also really does stay on for 24 hours. I never have to worry about whether my eyeliner is still on. It’s also smudge-proof, so I’m never checking to make sure that I don’t have raccoon eyes! One gel pot of this stuff can last you MONTHS.
5. Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner
Color: Black
Aren’t we all looking for the perfect liquid eyeliner to get the PERFECT wing? This one is wide at the bottom of the felt tip brush and super precise and fine at the top, so you can get varied thickness. It helps make your wings super sharp.
6. Bottom Coat: Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara
Color: Black
This mascara has one brush for your lower lashes and one brush for your upper lashes. The way I like to use it is to use the “lower” brush for both my lower and upper lashes because I find that it separates and lengthens. Then, I use the “upper” brush for both my lower and upper lashes to add volume and length. I finish it off with a coat of Miss Manga Mascara.
Top with: L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara
Color: Black
After the two separate coats of “Big Eyes”, I finish it off with this mascara. It adds volume, length, AND thickness to your lashes!
7. Milani Brow Shaping Clear Wax Pencil
I have naturally thick brows, so I don’t have to do any “filling in” or anything – I just use this wax pencil to make them arch the way I want them to and to tame any of the unruly ones.
8. L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion
Color: Medium
I JUST bought this stuff but I LOVE it. It really evens out your complexion and gives you a natural-looking, sun-kissed, healthy glow. It’s also not too heavy and it doesn’t clog your pores!
9. Rimmel Provocalips 16-Hour Stay Kiss-Proof Lipstick
Favorite Shade: Play With Fire
They say that this lasts 16 hours, but I would say it lasts longer than that. They have gorgeous colors, they each provide full coverage – and after you put the color on and let it dry, you put the gloss on so your lips don’t feel sticky. After you do that, you can go about your night and never have to worry about reapplying your lipstick or wondering if it smudged, or if it will stain your boyfriend’s cheek because this stuff DOES NOT MOVE. It’s not drying like the Infallible Covergirl ones, and you can rest assured that your lips will be colorful all night long.
10. YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain
Favorite Shade: No. 9 Rouge Laqué
I usually don’t do “designer” makeup, but in this case it’s worth the splurge. Admittedly, I was given my first tube of it because I modeled for Lord and Taylor and the makeup artist said I had “the perfect lips” and that she “just had to give me one”. So I chose this red glossy stain and never looked back. It’s GORGEOUS. It’s a lip stain, so you don’t have to worry about it coming off – but it’s GLOSSY. ALL. THE. TIME. Even after you eat, drink from a bottle, anything. This stuff STAYS and always looks like it’s been recently reapplied. I’ve since bought this color again along with another color! (I’m looking forward to trying YSL’s Burgundy Vibes Vinyl Cream Lip Stain!)
