I’ll proudly say it: I LOVE social media. I started studying it when I was only 13 years old, bored to death in Knoxville, TN. I was on Instagram back when it was an artist-sharing app ONLY; there were around 2500 users and we all followed each other and supported each other! I started studying ways to get more followers, more likes – doing a bit of trial and error with each post (this was before Analytics on these apps existed). Social media has changed the world, especially in recent times (i.e. election season). It’s a great way to connect with people from all over the world. Here’s my top ten favorite social apps!
1. Instagram
I love Instagram because it’s a place where we can see a visual aspect of basically ANYBODY’S life. Some use it for beautiful photography, their modeling portfolio, their business, things they create, etc. It’s beautiful to follow a wide variation of accounts and scroll through your IG feed to a collection of posed photos, friends having a good time, a funny meme, and some beautiful artwork.

2. Twitter
Twitter used to be MUCH lower on this list – then the 2016 election occurred and there was a huge Twitter boom. On Twitter, there are personal accounts where people just talk about their life and their friends. There are also business accounts. Every city and every police department has their own Twitter account. There’s also photography accounts, relatable accounts (example: things girls say), political accounts, celebrity accounts, humor accounts, etc. I really love to scroll through my Twitter feed and see updates on news, style/beauty trends, updates on my favorite celebrities, and even some jokes that’ll make me laugh until my stomach hurts.

3. Facebook
Facebook still had to make the top three even though now it’s extremely politically divided and I’m not a huge fan of the founder of Facebook.. but it’s still up there because Facebook is a place where you can stay in contact with a lot of people! This includes family who lives far away, long-distance friends, people you went to college with, etc. I love seeing family updates, funny statuses from friends, and relevant videos related to current events. Also, being a girl that’s moved NINE TIMES, I really lik how Facebook has kept me close to people that live on the opposite coast from me that I was friends with when I was only 6 years old!

4. Pinterest
Pinterest has QUICKLY risen to the top of this list because of the increase in users, quality and diversity of posts, and ability to easily pin anything from anywhere! Your Pinterest dashboard is a collections of posts you might like based on your recent pins. I have pinboards for Health, Chronic Illness, Taylor Swift, Funny, Beauty, Makeup, Outfits, Outfit Ideas, My Christmas List, Life Goals, etc. So, when I log in to Pinterest I see a few pins about chronic illnesses, some about beauty, some about makeup, some about Taylor Swift, some about outfits, and some luxurious homes to put on my “Life Goals” board. It’s AWESOME. Even men really like it now with the increase of tactical gear, info about cars, gorgeous models, etc.

5. Tumblr
I think I might be too busy of a person for Tumblr now, but I used to love it. Everyone on it can have a free blog, can share similar blogs, can share their artwork, make fan pages for celebrities, make relationship posts, make beauty and fashion posts, and mostly, lifestyle posts! It’s a beautiful collection of posts but I think that Pinterest has practically become my Tumblr.

6. Reddit
Online, Reddit is VERY hard to navigate. Their social app is MUCH better. You just have to get used to using Reddit to really understand all the terms like subreddit, redditor, alphas, permalinks, etc. There are subreddits and “communities” for practically anyone, anything, and about ANY topic. Also, every meme that has ever existed likely started on Reddit. There are SO many clever people on that app coming up with new ideas at all times.

7. Snapchat
Snapchat used to be around #3 on this list before the latest update where they changed everything to the point where the app is practically impossible to navigate. The app used to be a fun way to send your friends silly pictures, some used it for Rated R content, and others used it for hilarious videos.. but now it’s basically become a messaging app and a place to take selfies with a cute filter on them that make you look like you have makeup on/have blue eyes/are wearing a flower in your hair, etc.

8. Holonis
So, I used to work with this company from the beta stages of the app to now, where the app is full of celebrities and influencers. It’s a cool place to see articles, what everyone’s up to, reshare posts you love, follow as many people as you like, upload videos, and it even has a marketplace right on your holospace where you can sell items!

9. Cleaner for IG
If you’re going to really utilize social media, you’ve got to have some analytics apps that show you who didn’t follow you back, who has unfollowed you, who has blocked you, etc. Cleaner does just that.

10. TwitFollow/Followers
This is the same thing I said above but for Twitter. It used to be TwitFollow (which still works), but they updated to the new “Followers”. They work in the same way and it’s the most efficient Twitter app I’ve ever used.
Disclaimer: I was NOT paid by any of these companies for this article. I simple wanted to share my favorite social apps with you.
I am glad to be a visitant of this double dyed site! , thankyou for this rare info ! .
